Grade 2 have been investigating music that sounds like water. As well as listening to a variety of examples we have also been creating our own pieces. We recorded some small musical waves and then, after watching some amazing surfing videos from Taihiti, we created our own monster wave. 

We tried to make the small waves sound as if they were gently rising and falling, like rollers far out to sea.  We used rising pitch with crescendo for the up side and falling pitch with diminuendo for the downside.
