The project began by learning how to read and write rhythms using one, two, three and four beat notes. The class then worked in groups to plan a composition using rhythm ideas which they had created and written down.
Through discussions we decided on a structure for the composition. Then we selected the instruments we wanted and chose the best players for particular parts of the music. We tried to match the skill of the players to the difficulty of the music. We then we rehearsed it, and recorded it several times to get it right.
