Baroque Ostinato

Grade 7 AR have been studying Baroque music. At the end of the project they made this piece of music based on repeating patterns. These patterns are very common in Baroque music and are called ostinatos. The result is this interesting piece.

Why Me?

"Why me? Why am I the only one?" These two blues songs written by Grade 7 each had to use that line as the first line of their songs, but the rest was all up to them. In their unit on blues we spent quite a bit of time looking at the structure of blues songs, the chords, the blues scale and we all learned to play the blues on the guitar.
