Grade 8 have spent some time using software called Samplisizer to create some grooves. And they really are groovy, so listen to the examples above and freak-out!

What is a groove? A groove is a repeating rhythmic pattern that can form the basis of a song. It usually contains a drum beat, but can also include riffs, chords and other sound effects.

Samplisizer software uses small pre-recorded packets of sound called 'samples' which you drag and drop into place to build up your groove. It's easy to use and is perfect for creating grooves for dance music. You can also use it to record your own samples and even produce your entire song.
