These are Preschool's first recordings and what a great job they did too! Interestingly, they already know the conventions of how to record: being quiet and still at the beginning and the end, really trying your best to remember what you have to do and also that we sometimes need to record it more than once just to get it right.

For the first line of the song we used scraping sounds on the guiro, which represent the sound of the spider climbing up the drain pipe. We then used a rainstick for the sound of the rain, triangles for when the sun comes out and then the guiros return as Incy Wincy starts to climb up again. The song finishes with a big flourish on the windchimes and everyone waited for it to die away before giving themselves a big round of applause.

This song was really well sung by the whole class. Everyone was able to make the tick tock sounds in the right place and the sound is very effective. Well done Preschool!
