It's almost monsoon time here in Korea and so Reception have created a special version of the children's song Rain, Rain Go Away to sum up how we all feel during the rainy season.
In our performance everyone had special jobs to do. First we sang the song with glockenspiel accompaniment (the singers were Regina, Ann, Sullivan and Sander), then there was a
central section containing sounds to represent the different stages of a rain storm:
-
Bass drum and cymbal to represent the thunder before the rain.
-
Xylophone - rain slowly starting
-
Maracas and triangle - continuous heavy rain
-
Pouring water and keyboard - water going down the drains and into streams.
And finally we sang the song again with everyone playing together.
